Chiropractic Services
The doctor of chiropractic is a specialist in spinal musculoskeletal disorders. He or she is expertly trained to diagnose and treat the many musculoskeletal injuries that may occur on the job or in your daily life.
Upon injury, the individual often alters the normal position or flexibility of the spinal vertebrae. Chiropractic treatment is designed to restore normal alignment and thus minimize pain and suffering. Gentile manipulative therapy or an “adjustment” is often effective in rapidly returning the injured person to a productive status. The doctor of chiropractic can also provide guidance with advice designed to reduce work-related injuries, proper lifting procedures and therapeutic stretching exercises.
Massage Treatment Beds
Massage treatment beds are a valuable tool in providing relaxation and rehabilitation through water or rolling massage. Many of the benefits of massage are utiilzed through the use of these beds. They can be programmed to each individuals specifications or indications. These treatment beds are available for our patients as indicated in the patient's treatment plan.
Exercise Rehabilitation
The loss of full function and range of motion is common after an injury, and can create a "domino effect" of problems if left untreated. Utilizing this vital part of the treatment plan maximizes each patients ability to heal and restore full function in the body.
With an undergraduate degree in physical therapy, Dr. Gunnell is able to provide an individualized therapeutic exercise program for each patient.
Massage Therapy
A massage therapist is a specialist in musculoskeletal disorders. She or he is trained to treate many disorders and injuries incurred on the job or in daily life.
A massage therapist will use special hands-on tecniques specifically designed to relieve pain, scar tissue, hypertonicities, adhesions, and tension.
Each massage is tailored to each person's individual needs. Therapeutic massage is different than relaxation massage. Different techniques are used. It is important for each client to be specific in what problems they are experiencing, as well as what they would like to get from their massage.
Massage services are offered by specific appointment as indicated, or in the patient's treatment plan.
