What to Expect as a New Patient
Your First Visit
It is best to arrive about 15 minutes before your appointment to fill out paperwork.
After filling out paperwork, you will be taken into the doctor's office for your consultation. That will be your oppurtunity to explain your problem, and discuss any health concerns. After talking with you, he will decide what level of evaluation will be needed.
The doctor will then take you to the exam room. Each patient receives and complete and thorough chiropractic examination (which includes orthopedic and neurological testing and evaluation). If x-rays are necessary, they will be taken at this time. You will be asked to wear a gown during this exam. We also offer shorts for your comfort.
This first visit takes about 30 minutes to 1 hour. We then schedule your report of findings.
Report of Findings
The report of findings is usually scheduled a day or two after your first visit, allowing time for the doctor to evaluate and study the findings from your exam. During this visit, he will explain his findings and answer any questions you may have.
The purpose of this visit is to explain his diagnosis, how chiropractic can help your specific case, and give you the oppurtunity to try a chiropractic treatment.
If insurance will be involved in your case, we will take a copy of your card at this time. All payments are treated as "cash" until your insurance is verified.
The Second Report
Before this visit, the doctor will create a treatment plan for your case. Our office will also verify your insurance coverage (if you choose to use any). During this visit, the doctor will explain your treatment plan, and options for payment. All services will be fully explained before payment is required.
